Some have erred, thinking Jesus
did not do perfectly when he healed a blind man by two touchings, because the man answered Him,
saying; I see men as trees walking. Then after the second touch did the man see clearly.
These do err, for Christ did heal the man first of another blindness, that the man should see the
world and utter a prophecy. For men as trees walking have no root, neither are they watered, and
quickly wither and die. Thus was Israel, even the whole world, without Christ.
Therefore it was no startling thing to Jesus, that the man that was blind did first see through a fog
after the Spirit of God.
